BECOMING A WARRIOR: My Journey to Bring A Wrinkle in Time to the Screen

by Catherine Hand

The 50-year journey of a young girl’s childhood dream to adapt Madeleine L’Engle’s beloved classic novel A Wrinkle in Time for the big screen. This journey would include the incredible highs of working alongside the legendary writer/producer Norman Lear in the creation of the nonprofit People for the American Way, the joy of listening to Madeleine on her views about the book’s characters and themes and then to the depths of despair when Catherine’s husband died suddenly and unexpectedly leaving her to raise three young children on her own. It was in walking away from the entertainment business to find herself that she was able to return and finally see her childhood dream brought to fruition.  Becoming a Warrior is her story of persistence, hope and love.
