THE GIRL WHO TRIED TO CHANGE HISTORY

THE GIRL WHO TRIED TO CHANGE HISTORY

By Melissa Kaplan

The Girl Who Tried to Change History is a story about a time-traveling heroine whose efforts to help right the wrongs of the Second World War as a participant in a mysterious, top-secret program eventually lead her on a collision course that imperils her own life and the lives of those she loves in the future.  Over the course of this historical fiction novel, Vivienne Riley finds love, suffers heartbreak, and learns first-hand what it means to live in and survive World War II in London, all the while making a series of well-meaning decisions that may alter the future in ways she cannot imagine before she finally returns home.  This book asks readers to consider whether it is really possible to change history, even with time travel, and even if we could, is it a good idea to try?
